Owner Name: Gonzaga Family
In possession from: Unknown to 1627
Location: Palazzo Ducale
Notes:
Falomir dismisses the Gonzaga possession of this picture because it is not listed in the 1627 inventory. He also identifies possible owners as Arundel and Van Dyck while noting that the relevant inventory entries are too vague to be conclusive. The association with Gonzaga and then Charles I results from the purchase of the picture by Jabach, who obtained many artworks with similar provenance.
